In June, Scott Creative worked with clients ESI and Belgrade Company on a billboard design which focuses on office space for lease at Millennium Plaza (15858 W Dodge Rd, Omaha, NE). After careful planning, additional research and a photo shoot of the interior and exterior of the building, this final design and copy was developed. The billboard appeared near 149th and L Street, facing west. This advertising campaign also included a 6″ x 9″ direct mail piece advertising an open house event that was held at the end of July at Millennium Plaza.
In May 2011, Scott Creative worked with a new client, Active Motion Chiropractic & Sports Center (Omaha, NE) on a direct mail campaign targeting businesses in the Omaha metro area. Dr. Baker, an Omaha chiropractor who specializes in treating joint, nerve and muscle conditions, recently began offering a seminar on workplace wellness that aims to inform business owners about the direct effect that an employee’s physical health can have on the cost of health insurance and what business owners can do about it. Dr. Baker has used direct mail in the past to some success and was interested in what Scott Creative could do to make future campaigns more effective.
“I would call the campaign a great success. It has more than paid for itself in direct patients and referrals.” (Dr. Baker, Active Motion Chiropractic)
This project began with first clearly outlining Dr. Baker’s needs, wants and goals in an effort to optimize the direct mail campaign. I then assisted Dr. Baker with acquiring a very specific mailing list of businesses fitting key criteria for the campaign. After a list was acquired, we then proceeded with the design of a postcard. A double-sided, 6 x 9″ postcard utilizing supportive imagery and copy was designed with two goals in mind: 1) To raise awareness of the rising costs of health insurance; and 2) provide business owners with an opportunity to learn more about how they can lower the costs of providing health insurance by participating in one of Dr. Baker’s wellness seminars.
“Scott Creative did a wonderful job of taking my marketing to another level. William adds additional value by sharing tips and insight others would never take the time to explain.” (Dr. Baker, Active Motion Chiropractic)
In April 2011, Scott Creative wrapped up another issue of the Nebraska Your Senior Resource Guide for long-time client, Chappelear Marketing Group. Scott Creative’s work on each issue includes sending out ad proofs to participating advertisers, providing assistance with ad design & revisions, the design & layout of each issue and then delivering the press-ready files to the printer for final production. My experience in publication design and layout allows me to provide CMG with a professional, organized and carefully executed design process from start to finish, and I have yet to miss a press date.
“Scott Creative has not only brought great value to my Company but has always exceeded expectations,” (Doug Chappelear, CMG Inc.).
The Your Senior Resource Guide – the YourSRG for short – provides a wealth of information concerning housing and health care solutions for older adults and their loved ones. Each guide is composed of relevant information regarding independent & assisted living, skilled nursing, adult day services, hospice and in-home care. Each guide is also made up of an extensive directory of hundreds of senior housing communities throughout the state of Nebraska, including phone numbers and addresses for each location. Production of the guide is made possible through the advertisements of some of the area’s preeminent senior housing and health care providers. The guide is distributed on a quarterly basis to hundreds of these communities and centers, including state area agencies on aging.
The Nebraska YourSRG is printed locally by Printco Graphics (Omaha, NE) on 50# offset paper, with an 80# gloss cover. Each quarterly issue is printed in black and white, with the exception of the cover and advertisements, which are printed in full color. For more information about the Your Senior Resource Guide, or for advertising inquiries, call 1-877-229-6238.
The tenth issue of Food & Spirits marks the sixth consecutive issue that Scott Creative has worked with the magazine.
For all of its locally driven content and creation, Food & Spirits Magazine (Omaha, NE) is without a doubt one of Omaha’s best resources for food, spirits, dining and industry-related news. I’ve worked with Erik, the publisher of Food & Spirits, on several issues of this publication. Time and time again, the in-depth discussions about goals and deadlines, the consequent hours of design, and the inevitable shuffling of the layout before press results in a final product that all contributors are proud to be a part of.
In the midst of the tenth issue of the magazine, Food & Spirits partnered with Pioneer Publishing, another well-known, locally owned publisher (home of the Reader). From the onset, Erik intended Scott Creative to be included as an ongoing contributor to the magazine and I’m fortunate to have the opportunity to continue working with them through this new partnership. This tenth issue is the culmination of what I believe is not only a sample of my best publication design to date, but also highlights the work of some fantastic local photographers and superb editorial from knowledgeable, local industry professionals.
If you live in the Omaha metro area, getting your hands on a copy is relatively easy. You can find the magazine in many bars & restaurants in Omaha – downtown in particular. Copies/subscriptions are also available here.
In early March ’11, we began working with a new client, Beyond Golf (La Vista, NE). Beyond Golf is a a unique Omaha Metro area sports bar that features the area’s best high definition indoor golf simulators and arcade games. Josh, an owner, approached us about designing a print advertisement and we were happy to help. He gave us a list of wants/needs for the advertisement and we designed an ad to his specifications.
